About Monroe College

Monroe College was founded in 1933 as a women's business school in the Bronx and is now a private college and graduate institution in the United States. It was once known as the 'Monroe School of Business.' It was renamed Monroe Business Institute once it became an approved junior college in 1972. It was renamed Monroe College after being accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in 1990. The Bronx, New Rochelle, and Saint Lucia are the three sites where Monroe University has campuses. Since 1967, the Bronx campus has been housed under Fordham University and consists of seven buildings.

New Rochelle's campus consists of six buildings, a Culinary Arts Center, and 'The Dining Lab,' a student-run restaurant. Dining Lab provides students with the opportunity to improve their managerial, culinary, and hospitality abilities. The campus in Saint Lucia is close to Castries, the Caribbean island's capital.

The undergraduate degree programmes are divided into nine faculties: the School of Allied Health has five degree programmes, the School of Business and Accounting has seven degree programmes, the School of Criminal Justice has four degree programmes, The Culinary Institute of New York at Monroe College has two degree programmes, the School of Hospitality Management has two degree programmes, the School of Education has one degree programme, and the School of Information Technology has one degree programme.

Monroe College also offers five degrees in the School of Allied Health, seven degrees in the School of Business and Accounting, five degrees in the School of Criminal Justice, three degrees in the School of Hospitality Management, three degrees in the School of Information Technology, and one degree in the School of Nursing, all of which are available online.

Monroe College's student life is jam-packed with events, sports, competitions, and opportunities provided by more than 50 groups with over 700 members. Monroe College competes in a variety of sports, including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, softball, football, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, and women's volleyball, in the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Monroe College International Student Admissions

Monroe College admits overseas applicants who have finished secondary school with a college prepared curriculum, met the minimum grade point equivalent, submitted the certified academic records, met the appropriate deadlines, and had their financial assistance validated for admission.
