Football, basketball, soccer, golf, cross-country, softball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, and diving are just a few of the sports offered at UNT. Under the name Scrappy, it has 16 varsity teams that represent the institution in numerous intercollegiate tournaments and competitions. The University of North Texas has two schools and eleven colleges, as well as a science and mathematics academy.
