Arcadia University

Arcadia University offers a combined five-year (3+2) Engineering Program in affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh and Washington University in Saint Louis. Students are also encouraged to apply to Dartmouth College and Columbia University, although students will not receive guaranteed admission, they are still eligible to apply.

These programs blend a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences with an intensive engineering curriculum. As a student in the combined program, you will be prepared for a career in industry, or for graduate work in engineering, mathematics, or the physical sciences. At the conclusion of the program, you may take the licensure examination for professional engineers.

You would spend either three or four years at Arcadia University taking basic courses in mathematics and the physical sciences (see Options tab for more information).  Upon recommendation of your program adviser, you would then apply to the affiliated university to complete two years of engineering study.

Once you have completed all degree requirements and have earned a sufficient number of credits, you are eligible to receive a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from Arcadia University at the appropriate commencement ceremony. After successful completion of the program you will receive their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Applied Science from the college of engineering of the university.
