Physics is the foundation for most science and engineering disciplines. By understanding the behavior of matter and energy at a fundamental level, physicists are equipped to further our knowledge of the universe through research and to apply knowledge to new technologies and engineering. APU’s Bachelor of Science in Physics equips students to solve complex problems using conceptual analysis and mathematical techniques—skills that are highly valued by employers from a wide variety of fields—and provides strong technical skills in classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, waves, and optics; a strong math and computer background; and an understanding of how to seek out the core technical issues of a problem.
