You enjoy working with your hands. Your ideas and emotions are best conveyed in colors, symbols and illustrations. You're the kind of person who could be described as "visionary" and you subscribe to design magazines just because. If all this rings a bell, you might consider a graphic arts major. You'll work with a supportive faculty, learn under visiting artists and scholars, and have the opportunity to show your work in the Visual Arts Center, which also hosts regional and national art exhibits. You also could join an AIGA student group for Graphic Design and Illustration students. The art department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and maintains membership in the College Art Association.
