If you're interested in the technical side of medicine, you might consider a major in the radiologic sciences. This major allows you to specialize in a broad array of techniques, from taking simple X-rays (radiography) to manipulating magnetic fields and radio wave energy to snap pictures of internal organs and structures (such as magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI). And you'll get to practice on state-of-the-art medical equipment right on campus. The Department of Radiologic Sciences is run by an award-winning staff that emphasizes professional and technical expertise throughout a variety of healthcare environments. Graduates will be awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree and qualify to sit for the ARRT credentialing examination.
