The work of a graphic designer is everywhere, with visual communication making up an enormous part of the way messages are communicated in our modern era. Students in Drexel’s graphic design program learn how to conceptualize, visualize and realize these messages through a unique curriculum that blends project-based exploration and experimentation. Critical thinking is emphasized while a foundation of typography, image creation and aesthetics is created. Students immerse themselves in a variety of mediums including books, packaging, web, data visualization, advertising and interactive design, establishing both their own style and portfolio.

Students stay on the cutting edge of their field by working on industry-leading technologies and emerging applications to produce both two- and three-dimensional creations and electronic media projects. They can also pursue specialization electives in courses like web and motion graphic design and environmental graphic design, all while getting Drexel’s well-rounded vigorous general education.
