Indiana State University

The University offers a bachelor of science (BS) in nutrition and wellness that prepare students to work in nutrition and wellness settings.  This degree prepares students who do not wish to seek the registered dietitian (RD) credential, but would still like to work in the area of nutrition.

• Coursework includes study in the areas of normal nutrition, community nutrition, lifecycle nutrition, program planning and evaluation, and foods.  Graduates will be prepared to work in community health/nutrition settings or continue on for an advanced degree.
• The program offers students traditional laboratory and classroom learning—plus supervised practice experiences that provide the hands-on experience needed for successful careers.
• A number of activities and organizations enable students to interact with other students and professionals in the industry, including the Food and Nutrition Club, which provides mentoring opportunities and career guidance.
