The Marketing program challenges students to identify key markets for products and services by actively analyzing and engaging in the wants and needs of their consumers. SVSU's first-rate faculty members push students to better understand the nature of global competition and strive to envision viable competitive strategies. With access to behavior and big data labs as well as SAP technology, Marketing students overcome rookie professional stereotypes as they develop, manage and defend self-made marketing and advertising campaigns from start to finish. Through these real-world assignments, where client sponsored projects are almost a part of every class, marketing students don't just contend with rival interest groups—they rise above them. As graduates, these cardinals are able to choose and effectively apply methods for planning and implementing marketing strategies, all while fulfilling their legal and ethical responsibilities as marketers.
