Sing, dance, act if you're ready to transform into the theatre world's triple threat, pursue this conservatory-style training program in Musical Theatre. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre gives students the preparation they need for a professional career in the theatre industry, thanks to the program's rigorous core curriculum in acting, voice, movement and performance. Coursework includes Stanislavsky-based acting training; voice and movement studio work; private voice lessons; general voice classes; performance classes in various styles and genres; dance fundamentals; and professional development and business strategies. Students enjoy numerous opportunities to perform, including onstage, in film and through the Arizona Repertory Theatre and the Arizona Theatre Company.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Acting Knowledge; Employ a broad range of acting knowledge including the ability to create characters convincingly and project one's self believably in word and action into imaginary circumstances of the musical.
• Analytical & Performance Skills; Demonstrate analytical and performance skills required in musicals and play from various genres and style periods
• Technical Proficiency in Voice and Speech; Demonstrate the acquisition of advanced technical proficiency in voice and speech, including the production of clear articulate and expressive speech, the ability to demonstrate phonetic transcription and versification skills.

• Basic Business Procedures; Comprehend of the basic business procedures of the actor's profession, including auditions, resumes and professional representation.
