For the M.S. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework in technical areas relating directly to chemical engineering are required. Up to nine credit hours of advanced upper-level undergraduate courses may count toward this minimum. M.S. thesis degree candidates are required to pass an oral qualifying examination, perform a minimum of six credit hours of thesis research and pass a final thesis defense.
