Students graduate well-prepared for private practice, in-house positions, government jobs, and tax departments of businesses in a range of industries.
With a dedicated academic and career counselor from USF's full-service Office of Career Planning who offers truly personalized attention, we tailor our approach to each student, helping them select courses and professional development opportunities. The job placement process draws on our extensive network of alumni and professional contacts and capitalizes on the expertise and guidance of practicing attorneys and trained career counselors.
Hands-on skills training is a key feature of our program, providing students with a way to put their classroom learning to practice while building professional experience and contacts. Opportunities include representing taxpayers in the Tax Appeals Assistance Program, and externing with law firms, government agencies, accounting firms, and other organizations.
Through extensive networking opportunities, such as the USF Graduate Tax Program Annual Tax Law Lecture Series, students expand their knowledge and build their network by meeting prominent tax and accounting professionals.
