The University of Tulsa’s Master of Athletic Training degree combines academic course work and supervised practice experience that prepare students to prevent, evaluate, diagnose, provide immediate care and rehabilitate orthopedic injuries and illnesses. In addition to the course work, athletic training students gain experience under the direct supervision of certified and state-licensed athletic trainers. These experiences take place in a variety of settings including Division 1 athletics at The University of Tulsa, orthopedic clinics, local high schools and occupational and industrial settings. In the final semester, students have an opportunity to choose a national or local internship as their capstone educational experience.
