Study pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics as a concentration while you earn a math undergraduate degree. A dual major with computer science, engineering, or physics is also available. Your career niche might include analysis of complex problems in engineering, biology, or economics. Or you can combine your love for mathematics, statistics, and financial theory in a career as an actuary or insurance underwriter. Pursue a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree.
