Governors State’s Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics equips students with the ability to think independently, creatively, and critically through a curriculum balanced between theoretical and applied study. Students can elect to pursue a concentration in Actuarial Science to prepare for a career in risk analysis.

As a mathematics student, you will gain a broad understanding of concepts in algebra, geometry, calculus, physic, and statistics. At least one course in computer science is required—though more may be elected—preparing you with technical skills needed for many mathematical career paths.
