Based on the learning goals for undergraduate psychology recommended by the American Psychological Association, Governors State’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology equips students with skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and research, and offers a focus on cultural awareness, ethics, and personal development.

As a psychology student, you will have the opportunity to advance your academic and professional interests through concentrations in Forensic Psychology, Mindfulness Studies, and Pre-Clinical Psychology. Students intending to pursue graduate study are encouraged to work closely with their advisors to strategically meet the requirements of graduate programs.You also have opportunities for gaining experience in research and field work in psychology.
