As part of your education, you'll learn how to use technology to evaluate healthcare programs, implement policies that improve access and efficiency, design educational programs for both your patients and colleagues alike, and much more. Best of all, we'll give you a taste of what real world nursing is like with practicums in your particular field of study. You can train to become a nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care, family care, psychiatric/mental health, adult-gerontology acute care, or adult-gerontology primary care. Other specialty tracks can prepare you to become a clinical nurse leader or for a role in nursing health systems administration. By the time you graduate, you will have been given the training needed for a career in advanced clinical care or nursing leadership and can continue on to a nursing doctorate.
